Overview

American Metals Supply is seeking a skilled and reliable Class A Truck Driver for a fulfilling career in Grand Prairie, Texas. This role offers a great work-life balance, as drivers are home every night while delivering HVAC materials within a 150-mile radius.

Key responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently make multiple deliveries within a 150-mile radius
  • Provide outstanding customer service and assist with unloading products
  • Participate in unloading materials, ensuring proper handling and organization
  • Collaborate with the warehouse team to load trucks for the next day
  • Utilize forklifts and bar code RF scanners for inventory management
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections in accordance with FMCSA regulations

Required skills

  • Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL)
  • Current DOT medical card
  • Previous truck driving experience or related field preferred
  • Warehouse experience
  • Forklift operation
  • Experience using RF scanners
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to customer service
  • Ability to handle physical demands, including frequent loading and unloading
