Job Description

Overview

ElectriCom Inc is seeking a Class A / Journeyman Lineman for their Energy Services team in Rock Hill, SC. The successful candidate will be responsible for aerial and ground electric work, maintaining electrical distribution systems, and operating specialized utility equipment while ensuring adherence to safety protocols and standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair overhead distribution
  • String new wire and maintain existing wire
  • Install and maintain insulators, transformers, switches, and other distribution equipment
  • Perform energized and de-energized line work using proper tools and PPE
  • Read and interpret construction drawings and work orders
  • Operate utility equipment safely and efficiently
  • Climb poles and work at heights using safety gear
  • Participate in on-call rotations and storm response
  • Set up service for customers and test equipment
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders
  • Support training for apprentices and lower-level linemen
  • Prioritize safety and maintain a clean work environment

Required skills

  • Journeyman - Class A Lineman certification
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Journeyman Lineman
  • Experience with energized and de-energized line work
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Valid CDL-A
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical
  • Proficiency in operating bucket trucks and digger derricks
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Willingness to participate in storm restoration and emergency callouts
