RJ Schinner Co is seeking a Class A CDL Driver based in Lansing, Michigan. Key responsibilities

  • Inspect truck before and after trips and complete daily vehicle inspection reports (DVIR's)
  • Verify deliveries with customers to ensure accuracy of quantities and products
  • Handle touch-freight deliveries using a manual pallet jack
  • Collect payments for goods delivered as per ship ticket instructions
  • Maintain accurate driver logs in compliance with regulations
  • Safely operate vehicles following DOT guidelines and company policies
  • Keep the vehicle clean and representative of the company
  • Uphold company policies and contribute to a positive team culture

Required skills

  • Valid Class A CDL Operator's License
  • At least 3 years of driving experience
  • Ability to meet DOT requirements including pre-employment and random drug testing
  • Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check
  • Current valid Federal Medical Card
  • Understanding of common road hazards and safety practices
  • Previous experience in making deliveries
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
