Overview

Liberty Mutual Insurance is seeking a Claims Specialist to join their fast-growing team in Rocklin, California. The role involves reviewing, analyzing, and processing claims typically characterized as moderately complex to complex within assigned authority limits, primarily focusing on workers' compensation claims. The specialist will be responsible for liability assessments, settlements negotiations, and mentoring junior team members, while utilizing the latest technology for claims management.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct investigations of claims, including interviewing insureds, witnesses, and claimants.
  • Analyze and confirm coverage to determine liability and compensability.
  • Engage independent adjusters and experts as needed.
  • Assess policy coverage and determine reserve requirements.
  • Negotiate settlements within assigned authority limits.
  • Coordinate litigation activities and represent the company in trials.
  • Assist team members with escalated issues and mentor new team members.
  • Participate in quality reviews and various committees.

Required skills
