Job Description

Overview

As a Claims Specialist at Liberty Mutual, you will manage attorney represented and litigated auto and homeowner's bodily injury claims. Your role involves investigating and resolving claims while ensuring prompt and quality service to policyholders. This position offers remote work options for candidates living farther than 50 miles from the claims offices.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage, investigate, and resolve claims.
  • Evaluate coverage, liability, and damages; settle claims within authority levels.
  • Identify and refer suspicious claims to SIU.
  • Prepare for and attend trials, hearings, and conferences.
  • Communicate with policyholders, witnesses, and claimants to gather information.
  • Respond to inquiries and provide status reports.
  • Ensure adequacy of reserves for claims.
  • Manage security of financial processing and claims files.
  • Update files and provide comprehensive reports as required.
  • Train and actively engage during training sessions.

Required skills

  • 1+ years Personal Lines Third Party Auto Casualty Experience
  • 1+ years Attorney Represented Experience
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Good interpersonal, analytical, investigative, and negotiation skills
  • Customer service experience
  • Knowledge of legal liability, general insurance policy coverage, and State Tort Law
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Ability to obtain proper licensing as required
