Overview

Liberty Mutual Insurance is seeking a Claims Specialist to manage attorney-represented and litigated auto and homeowner's bodily injury claims. This full-time remote position involves investigating, resolving claims, and providing quality service to policyholders, with responsibilities extending to legal engagements and communication with various stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage, investigate, and resolve claims.
  • Evaluate coverage, liability, and damages, settling claims within authority levels.
  • Identify potential suspicious claims and refer to SIU.
  • Prepare for and attend trials, hearings, and conferences.
  • Communicate with policyholders, witnesses, and claimants to gather information.
  • Respond to written and telephone inquiries, providing status reports.
  • Ensure adequacy of reserves and manage security of financial processing of claims.
  • Update files and provide comprehensive reports as required.
  • Manage billing activities of outside and in-house counsel.

Required skills

  • 1+ years Personal Lines Third Party Auto Casualty Experience.
  • 1+ years Attorney Represented Experience.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal, analytical, investigative, and negotiation skills.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Understanding of legal liability, general insurance policy coverage, and State Tort Law.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to obtain proper licensing as required.
