Overview

Liberty Mutual Insurance is seeking a Claims Specialist to join their Personal Lines Casualty Team in Idaho Falls, Idaho. This full-time position focuses on managing attorney represented and litigated bodily injury claims related to auto and homeowner's insurance. The role emphasizes effective investigation and resolution of claims while delivering quality service to policyholders.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage, investigate, and resolve claims.
  • Evaluate coverage, liability, damages, and settle claims within authority levels.
  • Identify suspicious claims and work with SIU.
  • Prepare for and attend trials, hearings, and conferences.
  • Communicate with policyholders, witnesses, and claimants to gather information.
  • Respond to written and telephone inquiries regarding claims.
  • Ensure adequacy of reserves and security of claims processing.
  • Update files and provide comprehensive reports as required.
  • Manage practices and billing activities of outside and in-house counsel.
  • Participate actively in training sessions.

Required skills

  • 1+ years of Personal Lines Third Party Auto Casualty Experience.
  • 1+ years of Attorney Represented Experience.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal, analytical, investigative, and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of legal liability, general insurance policy coverage, and State Tort Law.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Ability to obtain proper licensing as required.
