Claims Specialists serve a key part in both the commercial and personal client relationship. FNIC is seeking to add a Claims Specialist to our team to educate and inform on claims and loss history as well as advocating fully for their client.What's the work like?You will Effectively and independently process and report claim information received to insurersObtain and analyze loss run reports from insurer for purpose of claim reviewsClosely monitor the status of large claims and suits and notify manager of all losses reserved in excess of $250,000 for commercial and $50,000 for personal, or any loss that has significant potential of developing into a sizable or questionable lossPromptly respond to insureds', insurers' or claimants' questions and/or requests for assistanceCommunicate with Claims Manager regarding significant requests or problems and/or information not receivedMaintain the electronic account file and fully incorporate the capabilities of the agency management system into daily workflowPrioritize workload to consistently meet objectives and request assistance from management when necessaryComply with requirements of quality programsFollow agency and department procedures as outlined by managementEnsure confidentiality is maintained in the collection, maintenance, and dissemination of highly sensitive information, including Protected Health Information (PHI)Maintain, develop, and pursue technical knowledge through newsletters, bulletins, seminars, trade publications or other educational opportunitiesMaintain regular and consistent attendanceAny other special projects and duties as assignedOkay, so what's in it for me?While we expect a lot from our employees at FNIC, we believe in giving just as much in return.
