Overview

Arcadia Management Services is seeking a Claims & Legal Manager for their Residential Properties division in San Jose, California. The role focuses on managing eviction processes, coordinating litigation and claims, and partnering with teams and external counsel to minimize legal and operational risks across their property portfolio.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of eviction matters across the portfolio.
  • Coordinate with property managers, residents, and outside counsel for timely filings.
  • Prepare and review eviction notices and maintain accurate records.
  • Manage small claims cases and evaluate case outcomes for improvements.
  • Handle liability, property damage, and tenant-related claims.
  • Track legal spend and manage outside counsel documentation.
  • Monitor compliance with California landlord-tenant and fair housing regulations.
  • Prepare regular reports for management on eviction and claims activity.

Required skills

  • 5+ years of experience in litigation support and claims management.
  • Knowledge of California landlord-tenant law and eviction processes.
  • Strong organizational and case management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with property management teams or real estate operations.
  • Proficiency in property management software (e.g., Yardi), Microsoft Office, and cloud-based document systems.
