Overview

State Farm is seeking a Property Field Inspection Claim Specialist to join their team in Salt Lake City, Utah. This role involves handling accident and weather-related claims for homeowners and commercial properties, providing exceptional service while assessing damages and guiding clients through the claims process.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site inspections and assessments of property damages for residential and commercial claims
  • Collaborate with policyholders, insurance agents, and other parties to gather information and resolve claims
  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the claims process
  • Gather evidence, document findings, and prepare detailed reports
  • Investigate and adjust personal and commercial property claims with exposures up to $500,000
  • Evaluate coverage and policy terms for claim validity and compliance
  • Negotiate and settle claims within authorized limits

Required skills

  • Experience in property field inspection claims in the insurance industry
  • Strong knowledge of property insurance policies and claim handling practices
  • Familiarity with residential and commercial building construction
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle difficult/emotional conversations
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in claims management software
  • Valid driver's license
