Overview

As a Claim Specialist - Property Field Inspection at State Farm, you will play a vital role in handling accident and weather-related claims for both homeowners and commercial properties. This position involves conducting on-site inspections, collaborating with clients, and providing exceptional customer service while guiding individuals through the claims process.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site inspections and assessments of property damages for residential and commercial claims
  • Collaborate with policyholders, insurance agents, and other parties to resolve claims efficiently
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly
  • Gather evidence, document findings, and prepare detailed reports supporting the claims process
  • Investigate and adjust personal and commercial property claims with exposures up to $500,000
  • Evaluate coverage and policy terms to determine the validity of claims
  • Negotiate and settle claims within authorized limits

Required skills

  • Experience as a Property Field Inspection Claim Specialist in the insurance industry
  • Strong knowledge of property insurance policies and claim handling practices
  • Knowledge of residential and commercial building construction
  • Familiarity with local regulations and compliance requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to assess damages, estimate repair costs, and negotiate settlements
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Proficient in using claims management software and relevant tools
  • Valid driver's license
