Overview

State Farm is looking for a Claim Specialist in Property Field Inspection to manage and resolve accident and weather-related claims for residential and commercial properties. This role emphasizes exceptional customer service, thorough inspections, and effective communication with all parties involved in the claims process.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site inspections and assessments of property damages for claims
  • Collaborate with policyholders and insurance agents to gather information
  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the claims process
  • Document findings and prepare detailed reports to support claims
  • Investigate and adjust personal and commercial property claims
  • Evaluate coverage and determine the validity of claims
  • Negotiate and settle claims within authorized limits

Required skills

  • Experience in property claims within the insurance industry
  • Knowledge of property insurance policies and claim handling practices
  • Familiarity with residential and commercial building construction
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle difficult conversations with clients
  • Proficient in claims management software
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Physical agility for property inspections
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Experience with complex or high-value claims preferred
  • Training in Rope and Harness Safety preferred
