Overview

All South Consulting Engineers is seeking a Civil Engineer in Metairie, Louisiana, to lead the design and implementation of key infrastructure projects. The firm specializes in municipal and civil engineering, focusing on innovative and resilient solutions that positively impact communities. This role offers the opportunity to work on various projects while collaborating with top experts in the field.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the design of municipal infrastructure including roads, drainage systems, and utilities using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Perform structural analysis and design for civil projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
  • Manage permitting processes and ensure compliance with local and federal agency requirements.
  • Conduct advanced calculations and modeling while providing guidance to team members.
  • Oversee field visits, construction observation, and coordination with contractors and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize project delivery.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and project deliverables.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Louisiana or ability to obtain reciprocity.
  • 5-10+ years of experience in civil design, land development, transportation, sewer, water, or drainage systems.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and technical tools like HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, WaterCAD, or similar systems.
  • Strong problem-solving, coordination, and communication abilities.
