Overview

Schmidt Associates is seeking a Civil Engineer who will be responsible for project grading, drainage, and utility design. This role involves coordinating projects and guiding support staff while adhering to quality standards and project budgets.

Key responsibilities

  • Project grading, drainage, and utility design
  • Coordinate projects between disciplines
  • Provide guidance to support staff
  • Maintain office quality standards and procedures
  • Ensure projects meet budgets and deadlines
  • Revit design, plan details, and technical specifications
  • Conduct estimating and quantity calculations
  • Prepare technical reports and engineering analyses
  • Review shop drawings and oversee permitting

Required skills

  • 4-year degree in Civil Engineering
  • 3+ years related work experience
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate is desirable or PE
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit
  • Desire to continue learning in the field
