Field Organizer Harris County Attorney and Democratic candidate for Congress Christian Menefee seeks Field Organizers for a congressional runoff campaign in the Houston area. Christian is the leading candidate after one round of voting and now faces a highly competitive runoff election.The Field Organizers will be the face of the campaign, executing the campaign's volunteer recruitment and direct voter contact program. The position runs through the March 3 Democratic Primary and must be completed in person in Houston, TX.We are looking for strong leaders who are passionate about volunteer engagement and voter contact, both in traditional and creative ways.ResponsibilitiesWithin your assigned region, knock on a designated number of doors (approximately 500) per week to discuss Christian's candidacy with prospective votersRecruit, train, and manage volunteers to grow the campaign's volunteer network, coordinating outreach through calls, texts, and emails to achieve weekly recruitment goalsLead phonebanks, textbanks and canvassesShare upcoming volunteer events with relevant community groups and stakeholdersData entry, updating databases, and reporting back to the Field Director on metricsAssist with overseeing intern programOther duties as assigned in support of the campaignThis position will report to the Field Director and will be an integral part of the campaign teamRequired QualificationsStrong attention to detail and ability to self-startStrong interpersonal and communication skillsDisciplined, adaptable, and solutions-oriented approach to all tasksCommitment to progressive values inside the workplace and outThis job is located in Houston, TX.
