Job Description

Overview

United Counseling Service of Bennington County Inc is seeking a Children's Clinician to provide clinical services to families and children with intensive needs. This role involves delivering client-centered care in various settings and requires a compassionate, motivated individual to help build a stronger community.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide individual, family, or group counseling services in-home, office, or school settings
  • Deliver parent education and consultation
  • Make home visits to support families
  • Facilitate communication between agencies on behalf of the child
  • Attend team meetings to plan and monitor services
  • Provide case management and social support
  • Consult with teachers and other professionals
  • Attend necessary UCS and community meetings
  • Follow UCS record-keeping procedures
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Required skills

  • Master's degree in counseling, social work or related field
  • Experience providing counseling and case management services to families and children
  • Licensure or on track for licensure in Vermont as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor, Social Worker, or Psychologist
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Computer skills including typing, Microsoft Windows literacy, and email usage
  • Familiarity with EMR
