Overview

The Child Care Lead Teacher at Keene Young Mens plays a crucial role in supporting YMCA's mission through youth development and community engagement. This position involves creating a safe, culturally aware environment for children, promoting wellness while upholding YMCA values such as honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring.

Key responsibilities

  • Build personal relationships with YMCA members and participants
  • Implement curriculum within established guidelines
  • Supervise children and classroom activities consistently
  • Conduct ongoing observations and evaluations of each child
  • Maintain program site and equipment
  • Keep required program records
  • Attend family nights, program activities, and staff meetings
  • Fulfill additional functions as appointed by YMCA administration
