Overview

OnPath Federal Credit Union is seeking a Chief People Officer (CPO) to drive strategic growth and cultivate a people-centric culture within the organization. This role plays a crucial part in executive leadership, focusing on talent management, employee engagement, and operational excellence across various Human Capital functions.

Key responsibilities

  • Participate in developing short- and long-term objectives and strategies as a key ELT member.
  • Lead enterprise-wide transformation initiatives and support mergers and acquisitions.
  • Provide board-level advisory on executive compensation and human capital metrics.
  • Champion advanced analytics for workforce planning and HR technology.
  • Ensure alignment of Human Capital operations with organizational strategies.
  • Develop strategies to nurture a high-performance culture and employee engagement.
  • Implement organization-wide talent assessment and succession planning processes.
  • Manage compliance risks and ensure adherence to ethical standards.

Required skills

  • 15+ years of executive leadership experience in organizational development and human resources.
  • 7+ years in C-level roles at financial institutions, preferable in a credit union or regional bank.
  • Expertise in HR analytics, change management, and financial services talent strategies.
  • Exceptional communication, public speaking, and presentation skills.
  • High emotional intelligence (EQ) and intelligence (IQ) for navigating complex environments.
  • Proficient in systems thinking and performance frameworks like Agile and Lean.
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degrees are a plus.
  • SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification required.
