Overview

Native American Connections (NAC) is seeking a dedicated Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to oversee all financial operations and support its mission of providing integrated healthcare and affordable housing. This role demands a visionary leader who is aligned with NAC's values and culture, and who is passionate about fostering financial sustainability while making a meaningful community impact.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement NAC's financial strategy aligned with the mission and long-term sustainability.
  • Analyze financial performance and market trends to support forecasting and risk management.
  • Prepare the annual budget and present monthly financial statements to senior leadership and the Board.
  • Oversee accounting systems and internal controls to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on financial modeling and decision-making.
  • Manage cash flow, investments, and banking relationships to optimize financial resources.
  • Lead the annual audit process and act as the primary liaison to external auditors.
  • Identify and manage financial risks through robust internal controls and policies.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Financial Management
  • At least 10 years of progressive leadership experience in financial operations
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in affordable housing or related fields
  • Proven experience at the C-suite level in a non-profit setting
  • Deep knowledge of non-profit financial management including GAAP and auditing
  • Excellent leadership and strategic thinking skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High integrity and commitment to the organization's mission
