Overview

Sacred Circle Healthcare is seeking a full-time Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in Salt Lake City, Utah. The CFO will provide strategic financial leadership for the clinic, ensuring mission-centered financial operations and driving business planning and stakeholder engagement. This leadership role oversees the finance department, budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance while working closely with community partners to promote high-quality healthcare services.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide executive leadership for all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, accounting, and revenue cycle management.
  • Assist in developing organizational plans and objectives with the executive leadership team.
  • Oversee the development of financial analytic platforms for data-driven decision-making.
  • Participate in executive leadership meetings to support strategic planning and growth.
  • Represent the organization in community partnerships and health initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for financial value creation through partnerships and innovative funding strategies.
  • Engage stakeholders to connect budgeting and financial planning with clinical KPIs.
  • Develop and plan the annual budget in collaboration with leadership and governing bodies.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, tribal, and healthcare regulatory requirements.
  • Lead development of a high-performing finance team through training and professional development.

Required skills

  • Master's degree in finance and/or accounting
  • Ten years of progressive healthcare financial leadership experience
  • Five years in senior leadership roles
  • Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification
  • Experience with finance and accounting software and Electronic Health Records (EHR)
  • Expert knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Proven negotiation expertise and contract management experience
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of federal funding requirements and governmental reporting
