Overview

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at William Newton Hospital is responsible for overseeing the financial management and strategic direction of the hospital. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO will manage budgeting, forecasting, financial risk, and ensure compliance with laws and regulations while promoting the hospital's mission and values.

Key responsibilities

  • Serve as financial council to Senior Leadership and Board of Trustees
  • Administer general accounting and patient business services
  • Develop long and short-range operational and capital budgets
  • Monitor and analyze hospital financial performance
  • Identify trends and business opportunities with recommendations
  • Prepare internal financial reports and oversee annual audit
  • Analyze means to reduce operating costs and increase revenues
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of assigned departments
  • Coordinate the development of goals and action plans
  • Attend facility meetings and provide timely reports and recommendations
