Job Description

Overview

Peckham Industries is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) who will play a crucial role in providing leadership for all finance-related functions, including budgeting, forecasting, business analysis, and strategic planning. The CFO will partner with the CEO to ensure that financial controls and processes align with the company’s growth strategies while fostering a culture of safety, integrity, and mentorship within the finance team.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the finance team, overseeing accounting, tax, budget, credit, treasury, and capital structure functions.
  • Implement and refine internal financial systems to ensure accurate data analysis and compliance with regulations.
  • Oversee financial budgeting and forecasting to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Manage fiscal reporting activities and establish financial metrics for ROI decision making.
  • Cultivate relationships with audit firms, suppliers, and financial stakeholders.
  • Contribute to business growth strategies and facilitate long-term financial planning.
  • Report on budget vs. plan performance to the Board of Directors.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or finance; CPA preferred.
  • 10-15 years of hands-on experience in accounting and financial management.
  • Experience in both public listed companies and private environments.
  • Direct P&L accountability for large business divisions.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience with financial and ERP software, including Viewpoint and MS Office.
  • Proven leadership in managing multi-disciplinary finance teams.
