Job Description

Overview

L3Harris is seeking an experienced Chief Architect for Data Links to support the Information Dominance Group and act as the primary interface for USAF customer on Data Links and Communications. The role involves overseeing engineering needs and technical issues, leading integrated product teams, and providing technical support and management for communication systems on military aircraft.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as primary interface to USAF customer for Data Links and Communications technical implementation.
  • Support Platform Chief Engineers in assessing engineering needs and technical issues.
  • Lead the External Communications Integrated Product Team to resolve program implementation issues.
  • Oversee the maintenance of aircraft-specific data files for data link operation.
  • Manage vendor technical requirements and deliveries of third-party products.
  • Develop test planning documents and lead execution of test events.

Required skills

  • Active Secret Clearance, Top Secret with SCI preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in physics, engineering or related fields.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in Development Programs for Data Links interfaces.
  • Experience in Link 16 Data Link Service Level Conformance and Joint Interoperability Certification Testing.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and engage in technical negotiation with military customers.
  • Experience in System and Subsystem design of C2 Systems.
