Overview

At Pilgrim's, the Chicken Plant Production role focuses on ensuring the safety and quality of poultry products in a fast-paced environment. Team members will be responsible for tasks such as processing, packaging, and inspecting chicken products, all while adhering to strict safety and quality guidelines.

Key responsibilities

  • Process poultry products using tools and equipment according to USDA and company standards
  • Monitor equipment operation and report any malfunctions or safety concerns
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while following safety and food safety guidelines
  • Support team members by sharing skills and promoting a positive work atmosphere
  • Participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives
  • Demonstrate flexibility by performing various tasks in different production areas

Required skills

  • High School Diploma/GED preferred
  • Experience in poultry or food industry is a plus
  • Ability to multitask and work quickly
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to comprehend simple instructions and apply common sense
  • Team player willing to work closely with others
  • Physical ability to work in cool temperatures, stand for long periods, and lift 50 lbs or more
