Key Responsibilities:Operate equipment in a safe and proper manner in accordance to GFL Environmental Inc. transportation standard operating procedures, and government regulationComplete all necessary paperworkAcid /base neutralizationSample containerized waste, vac trucks and tankerOff load various trucks into tank farmCapable of wearing respiratorOperate PLCTreat various industrial wastewater using a variety of reagentsAssist in on site spill responsePerform additional duties as assigned by SupervisorKnowledge, Skills and Competencies: Environmental or Chemical Engineering Technician or Technologist of related DiplomaPrevious lab, sales and industry experience is an assetCompetent computer skills (MS Windows and Office)Strong interpersonal skillsMust be motivated, able to multi-task, and work effectively in a team environmentMust be safety conscious and detail orientedStrong organizational and communication skillsAbility to follow procedures and work with minimal supervisionWilling to work overtime, and continental shift workValid G License,Knowledge of TDG, Reg. 347 and Ontario Health and Safety Act an asset We thank you for your interest.
