Overview

AVTEC Finishing is seeking a skilled Chemical Maintenance Technician for their 2nd shift in Saint Paul, Minnesota. This pivotal role involves managing process chemistry and ensuring compliance with safety protocols in a warehouse environment. Key responsibilities

  • Make chemical additions for maintenance and repair of process chemistry systems
  • Maintain chemical filtration systems for production lines
  • Perform weekly and month-end chemical inventories
  • Maintain chemical maintenance equipment in proper working order
  • Uphold company policies and safety requirements
  • Assist Hazardous Waste department when necessary
  • Cross-train for other departmental responsibilities as needed

Required skills

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment
  • Technical training or certification in chemical maintenance is a plus
  • Hazwhopper training and DOT hazardous materials training
  • Forklift certification preferred
  • Ability to read a ruler/tape measure and analog clock
  • Good organizational skills and ability to follow instructions
  • Basic understanding of chemical waste treatment
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues related to chemicals
  • Fluency in English
