Overview

The Chemical Bath Technician position at Avtec Finishing involves maintaining and managing process chemistry and chemical waste treatment in a production facility. This is a critical role requiring strong attendance and adherence to safety protocols, with opportunities for personal growth and advancement within the company.

Key responsibilities

  • Make chemical additions for maintenance and repair of process chemistry systems
  • Maintain chemical filtration systems and process chemistry equipment
  • Perform weekly and month-end chemical inventories
  • Batch treatments and tank change outs as required
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and PPE requirements
  • Maintain cleanliness in chemical maintenance areas
  • Assist Hazardous Waste department as needed

Required skills

  • High school diploma or GED; Technical training or certification in chemical maintenance is a plus
  • 2-5 years experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Hazwhopper training
  • DOT hazardous materials training
  • Forklift certification preferred
  • Ability to maintain regular attendance
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English
  • Familiarity with chemical waste treatment
  • Basic math skills and ability to read measuring tools
