Overview

As the Chef/Kitchen Manager at Inspiration Brewing Company's second location, you will play a pivotal role in leading a team to ensure the delivery of high-quality Irish pub fare, complementing the craft beer offerings. You will focus on kitchen efficiency, food safety, and labor management while working closely with the General Manager to enhance the guest experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure culinary execution and maintain quality control for all dishes
  • Develop 'Weekly Features' to drive repeat business
  • Maintain a health-department-ready kitchen and lead food safety efforts
  • Manage inventory and minimize waste to control food costs
  • Create BOH schedules aligned with projected volume
  • Conduct weekly physical inventory counts and manage ordering
  • Recruit, hire, and train BOH staff
  • Communicate with the GM regarding inventory and staff performance
  • Foster a positive kitchen culture that encourages staff development

Required skills

  • 3+ years of experience as a Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager in a high-volume scratch kitchen
  • Expert-level knowledge of scratch line cooking (fry, sauté, grill, and expo)
  • Proven leadership ability in high-stress environments
  • Proficiency in food ordering software and basic spreadsheets
