Overview

Aramark is seeking a Chef Manager for the College of Charleston in South Carolina. This role involves delivering excellent customer service and food experiences while focusing on team development, culinary expertise, and compliance with safety protocols. The Chef Manager will also help manage budgets and execute company programs.

Key responsibilities

  • Train and manage kitchen personnel
  • Estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food
  • Select and develop recipes and standardize production recipes
  • Establish presentation techniques and quality standards, plan and price menus
  • Ensure proper equipment operation, maintenance, and safety in the kitchen
  • Oversee special catering events and provide culinary instruction

Required skills

  • 2-3 years of post-high school education or equivalent experience
  • Culinary degree preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of food profession principles and practices
