Job Description

Overview

Olymel is seeking a Chef gestion et contrôle des inventaires to join their dynamic team in Boucherville, Quebec. This role focuses on supervising inventory management operations, optimizing costs, and leading a team to enhance operational efficiency and quality.

Key responsibilities

  • Supervise a team of 4 to 5 direct collaborators, ensuring their development and performance
  • Manage the allocated budget and identify cost optimization opportunities
  • Oversee inventory operations and ensure accuracy of reconciliations, including planning and executing cyclical counts and monthly/year-end closings
  • Implement strategic initiatives related to production flow management and replenishment across the internal and external warehouse network
  • Track team performance indicators and adjust processes or responsibilities to meet established objectives
  • Make quick and effective decisions in response to changing priorities or operational issues
  • Guide inventory traceability exercises, including product recalls

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in operations management, logistics, administration, or related field
  • 6 to 8 years of relevant experience, including team supervision
  • Fluent in French and English, spoken and written
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and data analysis capabilities
  • Leadership, problem-solving, and change management skills
  • Proficient in AS/400, SAP, and Power BI is an asset
  • Ability to work under pressure with a strong results orientation
