Job Description

Overview

The Chef de Cuisine at Aramark is responsible for leading kitchen operations and creating exceptional culinary experiences at LifeWorks. This role involves overseeing all aspects of culinary management, from menu planning to kitchen personnel training, while ensuring high standards in food quality and sanitation.

Key responsibilities

  • Train and lead kitchen personnel
  • Supervise and coordinate culinary activities
  • Estimate food consumption and purchase food
  • Select and develop recipes and standardize production recipes
  • Establish presentation techniques and quality standards
  • Plan and price menus
  • Ensure proper equipment operation and maintenance
  • Oversee special catering events and provide culinary instruction

Required skills

  • 2-3 years of experience in a related position
  • 2-3 years of post-high school education, preferably a culinary degree
  • Advanced knowledge of food principles and practices
  • Experiential knowledge of management of people and problems
  • Strong verbal, reading, and written communication skills
