Overview

The Chauffeur de Route de Récupération at Waste Management is responsible for driving the company's vehicle to collect products from clients. The role involves data scanning, sorting, and processing unsellable and recalled consumer goods according to guidelines, ensuring timely service and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage assigned routes effectively to service customers on time.
  • Collect required data using portable scanning devices and record information daily.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, colleagues, and managers.
  • Load and unload pallets and boxes for delivery to food banks or warehouses.
  • Read written instructions and perform basic math.
  • Interact professionally with various customer levels and maintain a professional appearance and attitude.
  • Complete logs and understand hours of service regulations.
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections.
  • Complete necessary reports and adhere strictly to operational procedures.
  • Perform other related duties and special projects as requested.

Required skills

  • French language knowledge
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of customer service experience
  • Experience in grocery/retail sector is an asset
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
  • Valid driving record (SAAQ)
