Overview

Matrec is seeking a permanent Class 3 Chauffeur for their Bedford, Quebec location, as part of their commitment to building a sustainable future in waste management. This role involves driving a front-loading garbage truck and communicating effectively with customers and dispatchers to ensure efficient service.

Key responsibilities

  • Drive a front-loader truck for waste collection
  • Collect rolling bins and containers from customers
  • Maintain constant communication with dispatchers
  • Foster professional relationships with clients at collection sites
  • Complete daily reports, route sheets, and work orders
  • Report any service request anomalies to the supervisor
  • Perform vehicle inspections and safety rounds before departure
  • Carry out other related tasks as assigned

Required skills

  • Valid Class 3 FM driver's license
  • Experience driving front-loader vehicles
  • Good driving record
  • Excellent manual dexterity and interest in machinery
  • Self-reliance, autonomy, and customer service skills
