Overview

The Chaplain Resident at L.E. Cox Medical Centers is responsible for providing pastoral and spiritual care to patients, families, and staff according to established procedures. This role includes participation in the Clinical Pastoral Education program and adherence to duties related to pastoral care, including documentation of interventions.

Key responsibilities

  • Visit patients, families, and staff to provide pastoral and spiritual care
  • Document interventions in medical records according to department procedures
  • Participate in Chaplaincy Department duties
  • Fulfill educational responsibilities of the Clinical Pastoral Education program
  • Report to the CPE Program Supervisor and Director of Chaplaincy
