Overview

The Chaplain Corps Officer provides spiritual care, counseling, and ethical leadership to Sailors, Marines, Coast Guard members, and their families. This role supports morale, readiness, and resilience in various environments while ensuring the free exercise of religion for all service members.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver religious ministry consistent with your faith tradition, including worship services and pastoral care
  • Facilitate for the religious needs of personnel from other faith groups
  • Advise commanders on religious needs, morale, ethics, and command climate
  • Provide confidential counseling and crisis response
  • Serve as staff or supervisory chaplain while gaining experience
  • Contribute to the shared culture and standards of Professional Naval Chaplaincy
