Overview

The University of Cincinnati is seeking a new Chair for its Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. This role is critical in shaping the future of the department, focusing on advancing research, enhancing clinical partnerships, and fostering innovative educational programs. The Chair will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives that align with the college's and university's missions while supporting faculty and student success.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and communicate a vision for the department's future
  • Oversee and improve the quality and effectiveness of educational programs
  • Mentor trainees and junior faculty to successful careers in Pathology
  • Promote and increase extramurally funded research
  • Ensure clinical excellence and patient-centered care
  • Recruit, manage, and retain talented faculty

Required skills
