Job Description

Overview

CFS is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for a leading retail and restaurant organization in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This role involves partnering directly with the CEO and leadership team, influencing expansion efforts, managing capital strategy, and overseeing financial performance across a multi-unit operation.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead financial planning, forecasting, and performance management across all locations
  • Oversee accounting, audit readiness, and internal controls
  • Manage 4 direct reports including Controller, FP&A Director, Treasury, and IT
  • Drive capital investment analysis for new stores, remodels, and strategic initiatives
  • Manage lender relationships, debt facilities, and liquidity planning
  • Partner with operations on pricing, cost control, and profitability
  • Oversee external tax and audit providers

Required skills

  • MBA or advanced degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
  • 10+ years of finance and accounting leadership experience in multi-unit environments
  • Strong expertise in FP&A, capital allocation, and financing strategies
  • Experience in retail, convenience, fuel, or operational environments
