Job Description

Overview

CFS is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for a leading retail and restaurant organization in St. Louis, Missouri. This role involves direct partnership with the CEO and leadership team, focusing on strategy, capital management, and operational improvements within a rapidly growing company with over 1000 employees and significant revenues.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead financial planning, forecasting, and performance management across all locations
  • Oversee accounting, audit readiness, and internal controls
  • Manage 4 direct reports including Controller and FP&A Director
  • Drive capital investment analysis for new stores and strategic initiatives
  • Manage lender relationships and liquidity planning
  • Partner with operations on pricing, cost control, and profitability
  • Oversee external tax and audit providers

Required skills

  • MBA or advanced degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
  • 10+ years of finance and accounting leadership experience in multi-unit environments
  • Strong expertise in FP&A, capital allocation, and financing strategies
  • Former experience in retail, convenience, fuel, or similar operational environments
