Job Description

Overview

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at CFS is a pivotal executive leadership role designed for a candidate with a strong background in finance and technology, particularly within the SaaS industry. This position involves partnering with the CEO and executive team to drive growth, operational excellence, and long-term financial strategy for a rapidly growing organization in the Tampa area.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead all accounting, finance, treasury, tax, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning functions
  • Partner with CEO and executive leadership to develop and execute strategic growth initiatives
  • Drive annual budgeting, long-range planning, forecasting, and board-level reporting processes
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations regarding profitability, cash flow, and operational performance
  • Develop and enhance KPIs, financial reporting packages, and executive dashboards
  • Lead banking, lender, investor, and external stakeholder relationships
  • Oversee internal controls, compliance, risk management, and financial governance processes
  • Evaluate and improve systems, processes, and financial infrastructure to support continued growth
  • Lead and develop accounting and finance teams while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
  • Support M&A, capital raising, due diligence, and strategic transactions as needed

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA certification
  • 12+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
  • Previous experience as CFO, VP of Finance, Corporate Controller, or in senior finance leadership roles
  • Technology and/or SaaS industry experience
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, FP&A, and strategic planning
  • Experience working with executive leadership, boards, lenders, investors, and external stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
  • Experience with ERP implementations, reporting systems, and process improvement initiatives
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
