Overview

Prestige Accounting & Consulting is seeking a career-motivated and data-driven Certified Public Accountant to play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial integrity of the company. This position involves managing financial planning, overseeing the general ledger, and ensuring the accuracy of financial information while making recommendations for budget optimization.

Key responsibilities

  • Review financial documents including statements, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Establish accounting policies and procedures for smooth business operations.
  • Work in an advisory capacity on organizational budgets and strategic planning.
  • Lead the preparation and review of comprehensive tax plans and strategies for clients.
  • Conduct financial and operational analysis to improve client profitability and cash flow.
  • Manage complex three-way trust account reconciliations in compliance with IOLTA regulations.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for clients.
  • Identify new service opportunities and develop client-focused solutions.
  • Lead training sessions and provide mentorship to junior accountants and staff.
  • Represent the firm in client consultations and networking opportunities.

Required skills

  • CPA Certification
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or similar field; Master's degree preferred
  • 2+ years of work experience in accounting or financial services
  • 6+ years of accounting experience with expertise in tax preparation and trust accounting
  • Strong understanding of GAAP
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting and tax preparation software (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Drake, Lacerte)
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
  • Proven leadership and client management skills
  • Exceptional analytical and communication skills
