Job Description

Overview

Join the compassionate team at Life Care Center of McMinnville as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA). This full-time position offers the opportunity to work in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility, helping patients achieve functional progress and improve their quality of life in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide direct rehab care in occupational therapy under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
  • Follow occupational treatment plans for patients
  • Chart patient progress appropriately and timely
  • Utilize therapy software accurately
  • Assist in the evacuation of patients
  • Participate in community health matters and projects
  • Liaise with patients, families, and support departments to plan for patient needs
  • Maintain professional working relationships and confidentiality

Required skills

  • NBCOT certified upon hire; renewal optional
  • Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program
  • Currently registered/licensed in applicable state
  • One year of experience preferred, new grads welcome
  • CPR certification upon hire or during orientation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary team
