Job Description

Overview

CoxHealth is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant or Nurse Assistant for the Discharge Lounge within the Capacity Management & Access team. In this role, you will provide basic patient care under the supervision of nursing staff, including monitoring vital signs, assisting with personal care, and reporting changes in patient conditions.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide basic patient care under direction of nursing staff
  • Take vitals and report on patient conditions
  • Assist in bathing, dressing, and moving patients
  • Change linens as needed
  • Obtain information on patient condition as requested

Required skills

  • Experience as a nursing assistant in an inpatient or long-term care setting
  • Completion of an Unlicensed Assistive Personnel Program or nursing fundamentals course
  • Missouri CNA License
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Time management and problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility in a multi-tasking environment
