Overview

The Certified Nurse Assistant or Nurse Assistant at Cox Monett Hospital will provide basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff. Responsibilities include taking vital signs, assisting with bathing and dressing, and communicating changes in patient conditions.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide basic patient care under direction of nursing staff
  • Take vitals and monitor patient conditions
  • Assist patients with bathing, dressing, and mobility
  • Change linens and perform assigned duties
  • Report any changes in patient condition to nursing staff

Required skills

  • 3 months experience as a nursing assistant, EMT, or Surgical Technologist
  • Completion of an Unlicensed Assistive Personnel Program
  • Missouri CNA License and MO CNA Appendix
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Time management and problem solving skills
  • Flexibility to work in a multi-tasking environment
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days
