Job Description

Overview

The Certified Nurse Assistant, Nurse Assistant, or Trainee will provide basic patient care under the guidance of nursing staff in a medical-surgical unit. This role encompasses a variety of tasks such as taking vital signs, bathing, dressing, and moving patients, while also monitoring and reporting any changes in patient condition. The unit serves diverse patients and offers opportunities for professional development and exposure to a wide range of clinical experiences.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff
  • Take vital signs and monitor patient conditions
  • Assist with bathing, dressing, and moving patients
  • Change linens and perform other assigned duties
  • Report any changes in patient condition to nursing staff
  • Participate in a training program to learn skills as unlicensed assistive personnel

Required skills
