Overview

The Certified Nurse Assistant, Nurse Assistant, or NA Trainee position at L.E. Cox Medical Centers involves providing basic patient care under the supervision of nursing staff, primarily in a pediatric setting during day shifts. Candidates will perform various duties, including monitoring vital signs, assisting with patient mobility and bathing, and reporting any changes in patient conditions.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide basic patient care under direction of nursing staff
  • Take vitals and assist with bathing, dressing, and moving patients
  • Change linens and perform other assigned duties
  • Obtain and report information on patient conditions to nursing staff
  • Participate in a Nurse Assistant Training Program
  • Complete a competency assessment at the end of training
