Job Description

Overview

The Certified Nurse Assistant, Nurse Assistant, or NA Trainee will provide basic patient care in the Neuro Trauma ICU on the night shift, working under the direction of nursing staff. The role involves performing various patient care duties, monitoring vital signs, and reporting on patient conditions while adhering to established guidelines and training requirements.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide basic patient care under direction of nursing staff
  • Take vital signs and report changes in patient condition
  • Assist with bathing, dressing, and moving patients
  • Change linens as needed
  • Obtain information on patient condition as requested
  • Participate in Nursing Assistant Training Program and competency assessment

  • Flexibility to work in a multi-tasking environment
  • 3 months experience as a nursing assistant or related healthcare experience
  • Current MO CNA License or completion of an Unlicensed Assistive Personnel Program
