Overview

The Certified Nurse Assistant, Nurse Assistant, or NA Trainee role at L.E. Cox Medical Centers involves providing basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff in a medical oncology setting. This position focuses on assisting with various patient care tasks and reporting changes in patient conditions.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff
  • Take vital signs, bathe and dress patients, and change linens
  • Move patients and perform other assigned duties
  • Obtain and report information on patient conditions as requested
  • Complete training as unlicensed assistive personnel in both classroom and clinical environments
  • Pass a competency assessment at the end of training
