Overview

The Certified Nurse Assistant, Nurse Assistant, or NA Trainee will provide basic patient care under the supervision of nursing staff on the 4W Med Surg Cardiac night shift. Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, assisting with daily activities, and reporting changes in patient conditions. The role also includes a training component for unlicensed assistive personnel.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide basic patient care under direction of nursing staff
  • Take vital signs and assist with bathing, dressing, and moving patients
  • Change linens and perform other assigned duties
  • Obtain and report information on patient conditions to nursing staff
  • Participate in training as unlicensed assistive personnel
  • Complete competency assessment at the end of the training
