Overview

L.E. Cox Medical Centers is looking for a Certified Nurse Assistant, Nurse Assistant, or Apprentice to provide basic patient care during the night shift in their 200 Medical-Surgical unit. This role involves working closely with nursing staff to monitor patient conditions and perform essential care tasks such as taking vitals and assisting with daily activities.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff
  • Take vital signs and report any changes in patient condition
  • Assist with bathing, dressing, and moving patients
  • Change linens and perform other assigned duties
  • Obtain information on patient condition as requested by nursing staff

Required skills

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong time management and analytical/problem solving skills
  • Ability to work in a multi-tasking environment
  • Flexibility to handle various responsibilities
  • BLS certification (to be obtained within 90 days)
  • CNA license (must be obtained within 120 days of hire)
