Job Description

Overview

The Certified Nurse Assistant, Nurse Assistant, or Apprentice will provide basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff in an adult psychiatric setting during the night shift. The role includes various responsibilities such as taking vital signs, assisting with personal care, and reporting changes in patient conditions.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff.
  • Take vital signs and bathe, dress, and move patients.
  • Change linens and perform other assigned duties.
  • Obtain and report information on patient condition as requested by nursing staff.
  • Participate in a Nurse Assistant Training Program and clinical rotations.

Required skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Time management skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility and ability to multitask
  • 3 months of experience as a nursing assistant or related role
  • BLS certification within 90 days
  • Missouri CNA License or equivalent
